About us and our services
1.1Daygent Services (“Daygent”, “we”, “us”) arranges household help, pet care, vehicle cleaning and Man & Van services in Kingston upon Thames, south-west London and surrounding areas.
1.2Services are carried out by vetted, self-employed local assistants that we match to your booking. “You” means the person who makes the booking.
1.3Our services cover standard, non-specialist tasks. We do not carry out specialist work such as biohazard cleaning, mould removal, work at height, lifting dangerous items, or anything that needs a trade qualification.
1.4Each visit is limited to the time booked. Extra time can be added only by agreement and is charged at the applicable rate.

Bookings, prices and payment
2.1Bookings can be made online at daygent.co.uk or by agreement with us on WhatsApp, email or phone. A booking is confirmed when we send you a confirmation.
2.2Prices are shown on our website or in a written quote from us. Any extra charge (travel, same-day booking, peak dates) is shown before you pay.
2.3Payment is taken in advance, by card through our secure payment provider (Stripe), unless we agree another method with you in writing.
2.4Same-day bookings made before 12 noon carry a £10 surcharge. On 24, 25, 26 and 31 December, 1 January and UK bank holidays, a 50% surcharge applies to the service price.
2.5Discount codes are for first-time customers only, can be used once per customer, email, phone number or address, and cannot be combined with other offers.
2.6Bookings depend on assistant availability. If we cannot provide an assistant for a confirmed booking, we will offer another time or give you a full refund.
3
Regular plans and cancellations
3.1Regular plans (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month. There is no minimum term.
3.2You can cancel a plan at any time through “Manage my plan” or by messaging us. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then stops.
3.3To move or skip a single visit, message us at least 24 hours before it.
3.4Single bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the start time (48 hours for pet sitting, overnight stays and Man & Van). Later cancellations are charged at 50% of the booking price.
3.5If our assistant arrives and cannot get in or start the work for a reason within your control, the visit is charged in full.
3.6As a consumer you may have a 14-day right to cancel. If you ask us to start a service within those 14 days, you agree to pay for any service already provided.
4
Your responsibilities, access and keys
4.1For household help, you provide the cleaning products, equipment and utilities (water, electricity, heating) needed for the visit. For vehicle cleaning, we bring the kit.
4.2You will give us accurate details of the address, access, parking and the work needed, and tell us about anything that could affect safety, such as pets, alarms, fragile or valuable items, or hazards in the property.
4.3Please put away cash, jewellery and other valuables, and tell us about any items that need special care. We are not responsible for damage caused by faulty equipment or products you provide.
4.4If you give us keys or access codes, we will keep them securely, use them only for your bookings, and return them when you ask or when your plan ends.
4.5You must provide a safe working environment. Our assistant may stop a visit if they feel unsafe, and the visit will be charged in full where that is caused by conditions within your control.
4.6While you use our services, and for 6 months after your last booking, you agree not to hire any assistant we introduced to you directly, outside Daygent. If you would like to, please talk to us first.
5
Our assistants, liability, insurance and complaints
5.1All assistants have right-to-work checks before their first job. Where possible we send the same assistant each time; if they are unavailable we will offer a vetted replacement.
5.2Daygent holds £1 million public liability insurance. A copy of our certificate is available on request.
5.3If anything is damaged during a visit, please tell us within 48 hours, with photos where possible, so we can look into it. We will not be liable for normal wear and tear, items that were already damaged or unstable, or damage caused by your own products or equipment.
5.4Our total liability for any booking is limited to the price paid for that booking, except where the law does not allow this. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer.
5.5We are not liable for delays or missed visits caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, illness or transport disruption. We will keep you updated and rearrange as soon as we can.
5.6If you are not happy with a visit, tell us within 48 hours. We will work with you to put it right, which may include a return visit to fix the problem.
6
Privacy, changes and contact
6.1We use your details only to arrange and manage your bookings, take payment and contact you about your service. We share them only with the assistant carrying out your booking and the providers we use to run our service. We do not sell your data.
6.2We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you book applies to that booking, and we will tell plan customers about any important changes before they take effect.
6.3These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
